Who We Work With

Colleges & Universities

The Clearinghouse has been a trusted partner to the higher education community since 1993 and now provides verification and reporting services to most of the postsecondary institutions in the U.S. The Clearinghouse also provides online enrollment reporting for U.S. students to hundreds of international postsecondary institutions.

Commercial Organizations

Nearly 3,000 of the nation's largest employers, recruiters and background search firms have contracted with the Clearinghouse to perform secure, online academic verifications. In addition, thousands of other companies and individuals verify degrees each year via our public DegreeVerify Web site, making it the largest online degree verification service in the U.S.

In addition, many of the country's leading student service providers (e.g., insurance companies, credit grantors, travel companies, etc.) regularly use our online enrollment verification service, EnrollmentVerify, to instantly obtain proof of a student's enrollment status.

Education Finance Industry

Participating in the Clearinghouse helps the education finance industry eliminate paperwork, reduce default rates and servicing expenses, and enhance customer service for borrowers. All guarantors and most major student loan lenders and servicers (including servicers for Perkins, private/alternative, and institutional loans), as well as the Department of Education, participate in the Clearinghouse.

Government Agencies & Programs

The Clearinghouse regularly works with state and local agencies throughout the country to accurately assess the efforts of schools to help students succeed in higher education, including outreach programs.

High Schools

Thousands of high schools rely on the Clearinghouse for continuing collegiate enrollment and degree information on their alumni. We also work with high school districts and state education offices.

Institutional & Education Researchers

Through our National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, we regularly collaborate with institutional researchers at colleges and universities throughout the U.S., as well as states, school districts, individual high schools, educational organizations, and the U.S. Department of Education as part of a national effort to better inform education leaders and policymakers.
